About us

Hello we are Alan and Janette. We are married with three grown up children and four grandchildren who live close by. Janette’s grandparents lived and worked at the farm. We live next door and look forward to welcoming you to the farmhouse.

Ffyllon Fawr is a south facing farmhouse built in approx 1900 and has been sympathetically renovated and modernised. The farmhouse is in an elevated position and overlooks the farmyard where the old stone cowsheds have been converted into two small cottages.

The farmhouse enjoys a peaceful setting just off the coastal road, 2 miles south of the charming harbour town of Aberaeron, and perfectly located between Aberystwyth and Cardigan, both around 20 miles away.

The beautiful Cardigan Bay Coastal Path can be accessed at Gilfach yr Halen, a quiet pebbly cove less than 2 miles from the farmhouse – ideal for scenic coastal walks.

Despite its tranquil setting, the villages of Llwyncelyn and Ffos-y-ffin are only a short walk away. Here you’ll find a petrol station, convenience shops and a small post office for everyday essentials. There are also two welcoming pubs within a mile, both serving delicious food and offering a cosy place to relax after a day exploring the surrounding countryside.

Take a look at some photos from Ffyllon Fawr’s past. Janette is the little girl with curly hair!
